Crown Boiler Co. has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 400 Bermuda BSI and Cayman CWI Series gas boilers, which can generate excessive levels of CO in the flue gases.

Crown Boiler Co. has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 400 Bermuda BSI and Cayman CWI Series gas boilers, which can generate excessive levels of CO in the flue gases.
Model and serial numbers included in this recall, located on the rating plate, are: BSI069SN, BSI069EN, BSI172SL, BSI172EL, CWI069SN, CWI069EN, CWI172SL, and CWI172EL. The units, manufactured in the United States, were sold by plumbing and heating wholesale distributors to plumbers and HVAC contractors nationwide from October 2002 through October 2006.
Crown Boiler has received only one report of high levels of carbon monoxide from these boilers, and no injuries have been reported.
