Sonnhalter, a communications firm marketing to the construction, industrial and MRO markets, partnered with the Greater–Cleveland area Habitat for Humanityduring its Fifth Annual Sonnhalter Tool Drive. The drive ran the entire month of August and collected more than $35,000 worth of tools and building materials. Since Sonnhalter began its efforts in 2010, it has collected more than $141,000 in donations.

Organizations, businesses and residents were encouraged to donate new and gently used tools, as well as cabinets, sinks, building materials and appliances, to Sonnhalter to help benefit Habitat for Humanity’s cause of eliminating substandard housing and homelessness.

Trade industry participants in the tool drive included: Council Tool Co., Gerber Plumbing, Knipex Tools, Lakeside Supply, Osborn, RIDGID, Samsel Supply, Sutton Industrial Hardware, WD40 Co., Welch Packaging, Wolff Bros. Supply, Woodhill Supply and Work Area Protection Corp.

The donated items will be used for Habitat for Humanity projects or will be sold at the organization’s ReStore, a recycled building materials and home furnishings store. Proceeds from the ReStore sales are used to help Habitat build and rehabilitate homes for those in need.
