The Dwyer Group, parent company of Mr. Rooter, appointed Mr. Rooter President Mary Kennedy Thompson to the additional position of director of veteran affairs. A former U.S. Marine Corps captain, Thompson has served as two-time chair of the International Franchise Association’s VetFran Committee.
The Dwyer Group created the position to attract more veterans to franchise opportunities and job opportunities across its service brands. It also is a founding member of VetFran, which includes more than 580 franchiser companies that offer their best financial discounts to military veterans seeking franchise ownership and accounts for more than 4,300 military veteran franchise owners.
