Food waste disposer manufacturer InSinkErator announced the availability of its new “Evolution PRO Series™ Throwdown” product knowledge training kit featuring Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage from Discovery Channel’s “Mythbusters.” The innovative training materials are designed to provide contractors, technicians and anyone who makes product recommendations with a better understanding of the disposer models and their capabilities, and to provide tools to help educate their employees and customers.
Throughout the 30-minute DVD training, Adam and Jamie offer instruction on how to best use InSinkErator products while debunking old misconceptions about food waste disposers, such as “disposers are loud” and “you have to worry about what you put in them.” According to Eric Schultz, director of brand and channel management at InSinkErator, feedback from professional plumbers indicate they are actively looking for training that is easy to use and informative. “Training that’s presented in an entertaining format, courtesy of Jamie and Adam, is icing on the cake,” he said.
