  • Basset Mechanical (Kaukauna, Wis.) hired Mark Grassman as general manager of its fabrication department. Before joining Bassett, he held various engineering and project management positions.

  • Mike Lozier joined Contractors Mechanical (Richland, Mich.) as vice president of business development. He has a Master's License and more than 30 years of industry experience.

  • Nexstar appointed Jack Tester as business coach for the group's member companies. Tester was a founding executive director of Nexstar (then Contractors 2000) from 1992 to 1998. Most recently he was vice president of the American Residential Services segment of ServiceMaster.

  • Michelle Dupray joined the National Environmental Balancing Bureau as its new marketing and communications coordinator. Previously, she worked for a Tucson ad agency.

  • Kinetic Systems announced that Michael R. D'Appolonia was appointed president and chief executive officer. He was appointed after the resignation of Gordie Beittenmiller, who resigned for personal in family reasons.

  • Robert L. Koester was promoted to chief financial officer at St. Louis-based Murphy Co. He joined the company in 2003 as controller and treasurer. Koester previously worked as a senior manager at Deloitte and Touche.
