This month's appointments and announcements.

  • Rheem Mfg. Co. announced that Ian Stewart Farwell has come out of retirement to accept the position of president and chief executive officer of the company. A 30-year veteran with Rheem, Farwell served as executive vice president and COO before retiring last summer. He replaces Scott Martin, who recently left Rheem to pursue other opportunities.

  • Mestek promoted Mark Harrington to vice president of boiler products. He was most recently business unit manager for the Boiler Products Group.

  • Kohler Co. announced that Ron Pace has been promoted to president of the newly formed Kitchen & Bath Americas organization. He will be responsible for operations and business performance of Kohler and Sterling brands, Robern mirrored cabinetry, and Canac cabinetry. Pace was appointed sector president of Kohler's Plumbing North America in 1999, and became president-Plumbing Americas in 2002.

    The company also named Ralph Howard as president of Canac; he had been vice president of sales for Kohler Plumbing Americas. Succeeding him is Frank Windsor, who was most recently director of sales for the central region and national builder accounts.
