  • March 26-27 - HVAC Excellence is hosting its first National HVAC Educators and Trainers Conference at the Circus Circus Casino and Resort in Las Vegas. The conference brings together people from schools, manufacturing, distribution and education administration who are involved in HVACR training.   • March 27-31 - The American Filtration & Separations Society will conduct its 20th anniversary conference alongside the Water Quality Association’s Aquatech USA in Orlando, Fla. The group will offer a Filtration Pavilion within the trade show, and include up to 34 vendors representing the filtration and separations industry.   • March 28-30 - The HVACR & Plumbing Instructor Workshop will be held at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Va., sponsored by nine organizations across the HVACR and plumbing industry - ACCA, ARI, CARE, GAMA, HARDI, NATE, PHCC, RSES, and SkillsUSA. Two general sessions will deal with the hot topic of energy and its future. Other topics include: troubleshooting well and storm pumps; psychometrics and comfort; R-22 phase-out update; new joining presses for copper and copper alloy; right-sizing hydronics; computer technology; and teaching the fundamentals of electricity.   • April 6 - PM columnist John Siegenthaler is the instructor for the Advanced Hydronic Heating Design Seminar at Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, N.Y. The seminar includes techniques that go well beyond mainstream practices. Attendees receive a detailed seminar manual, along with design software that is demonstrated in class.
