The Copper Development Association, in celebration of the 75th anniversary of copper plumbing, is holding a nationwide search for historic or noteworthy copper plumbing installations from that era still in service.

"No one really knows where or when the first copper plumbing system was installed, but the evidence points to sometime around 1927-1928," said Ken Geremia, spokesman for the CDA.

Anyone who submits information on a qualified copper system will receive a certificate from CDA certifying his or her home as "A Copper Quality Home."
