"No one really knows where or when the first copper plumbing system was installed, but the evidence points to sometime around 1927-1928," said Ken Geremia, spokesman for the CDA.
Anyone who submits information on a qualified copper system will receive a certificate from CDA certifying his or her home as "A Copper Quality Home."
If you know of a plumbing system that fits the criteria, send the information, as well as any photos, to Plumbing 75, Copper Development Association Inc., 260 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10016. You can also e-mail the data to Copperfirstname.lastname@example.org.
Include any records or verification of the installation date that may exist. Photocopies are preferred; original documents and photographs cannot be returned and CDA has the right to publish any materials submitted.
