'Certified Safety Bureau' Established
November 10, 2000
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Chicago unveiled a new safety initiative concept: the Certified Safety Bureau (CSB). It will serve as an extensive clearinghouse of safety information, including a training database.
The MCA says it created the CSB due to a lack in an adequate industry training database, and irregular attendance at some industry-sponsored safety training.
To begin the CSB, MCA developed an expandable, Web-integrated database that will be customized exclusively for the CSB. It will also provide the membership with a resource for training manuals, videos, CD-ROMs and examinations.
