Chicago Faucet Acquires W/C Technology

The Chicago Faucet Co. has acquired W/C Technology Corp. (WCTC) from Masco Corp. Based in Farmington Hills, Mich., WCTC is a development and sales company specializing in pressure tank technology for toilet flushing, with annual sales of around $3 million.

Company founder Bruce Martin, inventor of pressure-flush technology, has been retained as a consultant. Chicago Faucet itself was recently purchased by The Geberit Group, which together with WCTC developed a pressure tank solution for concealed tanks that have been sold in the United States since September 2002.

Halsey Taylor Names Rep Of The Year

Halsey Taylor named Atlanta-based Manufacturers' Agents Inc. as its Manufacturer Rep of the Year. Al Huneycutt, Halsey Taylor vice president of marketing and sales, presented the award to Mike Richardson and Jan Gardner. Manufacturers' Agents also received a Gold Level 2001 Sales Leader Club Award.

Delta Receives Indianapolis' Outstanding Service Award

Indianapolis' Deputy Mayor Jane Henegar presented Delta with the city's Outstanding Service Award in recognition of its support for the Habitat of Humanity of Greater Indianapolis. Delta President John C. Wills accepted the award at the dedication ceremony.

About 220 volunteers from Delta helped build the five-bedroom, two-story house over four weekends this fall. Delta also donated bathroom and kitchen faucets, and tub/shower systems to all the homes constructed.

Sloan Faucets, Flushometers Used In Hotel Renovation

Sloan Valve Co.'s Optima[R] ETF-80 electronic faucets, Optima 111 ES-S and Optima 186-1.0 ES-S Flushometers were used in the recent renovation of the Crowne Plaza Cabana hotel in Palo Alto, Calif.

McGuire Names New Reps

McGuire Mfg. Co. has added two new representative agencies: Repco Associates Inc. of Des Plaines, Ill., and Dillard Associates of Garland, Texas.

Elkay Receives Customer Service Award

Elkay was honored with the International Customer Service Association's Soul Award for its Customer Process Integrity project. The company overhauled its returns and credit process to minimize customer inconvenience, such as processing credits quicker.
