A new generation of construction management students will get a chance to major in alternative project delivery systems with the introduction of design-build graduate programs at six U.S. universities.
According to the Design-Build Institute of America, universities are recognizing the need to train students in new methods of delivery, and the DBIA will review university curricula addressing design-build and integrated services.
In a recent DBIA survey, there are now five graduate programs in the United States that offer a masters' degree in design-build. A sixth program offers an undergraduate minor with concentration on integrated project delivery.
