Charlotte Pipe Purchases Thompson Plastics
Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Co. entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire Thompson Plastics, a privately held manufacturer of CPVC-CTS pipe fittings. Founded in 1982, Thompson employs 120 people at its only location in Huntsville, Ala. There it produces both generic and FlowGuard Gold CPVC-CTS pipe and fittings for water distribution, along with BlazeMaster CPVC fire sprinkler systems.
