Plumbing fixture manufacturer Crane Plumbing LLC, Evanston, Ill., sold its controlling interest to Sun Capital Partners Inc., a Boca Raton-based private investment firm.

Crane's Reed Beidler will continue on as president and as a major shareholder. The company believes Sun Capital's “significant resources and support” will help future prospects for the company, and keep it in a position for long-term success.

Sun Capital has invested in more than 75 companies since 1995, but focuses on leveraged buyouts in middle-market companies. Crane has manufacturing operations in 20 locations throughout North America.
