SayDoo Launches a New Kind of AI Company for the Skilled Trades
Built inside a Greensboro roofing company, SayDoo builds each trade business its own AI, keeps it running and teaches the team to use it. No per-seat pricing, customer-owned data, and a founding promise not to sell the company.

SayDoo today announced its launch as an AI company built for roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping and other trade businesses. SayDoo builds each company an AI console from the way it already works: one login where the owner and team say what they need, and the work gets done across leads, scheduling, estimates, crews, invoices and follow-up.
SayDoo was built inside Carolinas Best Roofing in Greensboro, run by co-founder Johnathan Westbrook, where it was developed and tested on real jobs, real customers and real storm seasons before it was offered to other companies.
"Everybody wants to sell you software," said Westbrook, SayDoo's Co-Founder and COO. "Everything's by the seat." Before SayDoo, his company paid thousands of dollars a month for disconnected tools while his team moved information between them by hand.
"The AI conversation has two settings: it will save us, or it will replace us. The people who build our homes and fix our furnaces need a third option, AI they own, that does real work and answers to them," said Shawn Keding, SayDoo's Co-Founder and CEO. "We think the next great tech company will make its customers stronger, not more dependent. That's the company we're building."
What makes SayDoo different
- Useful, safe AI by design. Every automation arrives switched off. Owners preview exactly what would be sent, to whom, before anything goes out. Every AI change is signed with the name of the person who asked. A privacy layer called DooSafe swaps customers' names, phone numbers, emails and addresses for stand-ins before anything reaches an AI model.
- The business owns its data. Companies can export everything at any time. If SayDoo ever closed, customers keep a working copy of their system with a permanent license to run it.
- Never priced by the seat. A one-time setup and license of $2,500, $4,500 or $7,500, then monthly care from $99. Hiring never raises the bill.
- One company per market. SayDoo members share what works across markets, and SayDoo does not sign two competing companies in the same market.
- Not built to be sold. The founders say this is what lets them keep their promises to customers.
