October 10, 2026

REHAU announced the expansion of its hydronic radiant heating and cooling portfolio with the introduction of the STEPLOC radiant panel system. Designed for radiant floor heating and cooling applications where RAUPEX O2 Barrier pipe is embedded in concrete or gypsum-based overpours, STEPLOC installs over slab-on-grade, suspended slabs, plywood subfloors, or insulation. STEPLOC allows engineers to specify the insulation type and thickness required for each project. This approach provides design flexibility while helping avoid unnecessary material costs when insulation is already in place or not required. The system features a durable self-adhesive backing that bonds to concrete, plywood, and foam insulation. Engineered retention knobs securely hold 1/2 in. RAUPEX O2 Barrier pipe without clips, staples, or additional fasteners. Installers simply press the pipe into place until it clicks between the knobs, creating accurate, consistent pipe spacing with less labor.

Each box contains 20 panels covering 278.4 ft² (25.86 m²). Panels are walkable during installation and can be easily trimmed with tin snips or a utility knife to fit virtually any room layout. By eliminating traditional fastening methods, STEPLOC aims to help reduce installation time, minimize installer fatigue, and deliver clean, consistent pipe layouts that support reliable system performance.
