Famous Supply announced the upcoming grand opening of The Jay Blaushild Training and Education Center (J-TEC) on January 14, 2026. This 25,000 sq ft facility will provide education and hands-on training to HVAC, plumbing, hydronics and HVAC electrical controls professionals while strengthening the local community through educational partnerships and youth development programs. The facility is dedicated to the late Jay Blaushild, who championed the value of continuing education and professional development. 

Jay Blaushild's philosophy, "Becoming an expert is not a destination; it's a journey," embodies the spirit of J-TEC and its mission to provide ongoing professional development for tradespeople. 

Attached to Famous Supply's Maple Heights, Ohio, Regional Distribution Center, J-TEC is designed to be a resource for both experienced professionals and those new to the trades. Through Famous University, participants will have access to CEU-accredited and NATE certified courses, classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and opportunities to engage with leading industry experts. The facility will also host Build-a-Tech programs for contractors looking to develop well-rounded technicians on their team.

The facility features twelve training labs and three classrooms with combined seating for 200 people. Training opportunities will include residential and commercial HVAC system installation and maintenance labs, refrigeration certifications, ductless mini splits, tank and tankless water heating, boiler troubleshooting, hydronics, backflow prevention, HVAC electrical controls and low voltage wiring and more. 

Beyond classroom training, the facility features the 300+ seat Legacy Event Room. Events will include:

• Business and Technology Conferences 
• Leadership and Marketing Summits

With the grand opening of J-TEC, Famous Supply is aiming to deepen its commitment to the local community in Maple Heights and surrounding areas. The company plans to invest in community development through partnerships with The City of Maple Heights and Kindland Village to provide educational resources, collaboration with area schools to develop mentoring and trade pathway programs that introduce students to career opportunities in the skilled trades.
