The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National  Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) announced an agreement to extend the co-location of the International Builders’ Show (IBS) and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) for four years through 2030.

In 2013, the initial agreement was announced by NAHB and NKBA to co-locate IBS and KBIS under the banner of Design & Construction Week (DCW), beginning with the 2014 event held in Las Vegas. The co-located events have become the largest annual gathering of residential construction and design industry professionals.

“Over the past decade, it has been amazing to see the incredible growth and success of Design & Construction Week,” said NAHB CEO Jim Tobin. “We are thrilled to be able to further strengthen the relationship between IBS and KBIS and extend our agreement to host the premier event of the housing and design industry.”

“2024 marks the 60-year anniversary of KBIS – a tremendous accomplishment and an opportunity to not only celebrate our growth but to set goals for how we want to continue to elevate the show and help drive the industry forward,” said Bill Darcy, global president and CEO of NKBA|KBIS. “We’ve had great success collaborating with NAHB and IBS and are proud to announce our continued partnership as part of this milestone year. As the kitchen, bath, and wider residential building, architect, design, and remodeling sectors continue to grow it’s more important than ever to provide a central source for inspiration and innovation.”

“Design & Construction Week has truly excelled, proving to be a resounding success – and we couldn’t be more excited to extend the partnership between KBIS and IBS,” said Brian Pagel, executive vice president, residential and commercial connections, Emerald. “We’ve seen record-setting numbers of new exhibitors and attendees in recent years and look forward to building on our continued growth as one of the largest industry events in the country thanks to our shared presence with the NAHB and IBS.”

From 2027 through 2030, the two shows will continue to occupy separate halls within the Las Vegas Convention Center, but one pass will give registrants access to both exhibits. NKBA and NAHB will continue to produce separate educational programming and special events.

The 2024 DCW, held this week in Las Vegas, marks the 11th year of the agreement. The two shows are expected to host more than 2,400 exhibitors, over 110,000 total industry professionals spanning over 1 million net square feet of exhibit space.

IBS is the largest annual light construction show in the world. Builders, remodelers, developers, and other industry professionals from more than 100 countries attend to see the latest products and services from more than 1,800 exhibitors and attend over 120 cutting-edge education sessions, visit show homes featuring the latest trends and innovations and network with peers. Now in its 80th year, IBS is organized, produced and managed exclusively by NAHB.

Held annually for the last 60 years, KBIS is North America’s largest industry event dedicated to all aspects of kitchen and bath design. KBIS is an inspiring, interactive event showcasing the latest products, trends, and technologies from over 670 exhibitors and almost 100 educational sessions.  Attendees include dealers, designers, architects, remodelers, wholesalers and custom builders attend to see KBIS, in conjunction with NKBA, is an inspiring, interactive platform that showcases the latest industry products, trends and technologies from hundreds of exhibitors. KBIS is owned by NKBA and produced by Emerald.

In 2025, DCW will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center, Feb. 25-27. The 2026 event will move to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. In 2027 DCW returns to Las Vegas where it will remain until 2030.
