OESP, an organization comprising hundreds of dedicated industry professionals in the Northeast, announced the winners of its 2023-2024 industry awards.

This past year has been disruptive to many industries and businesses thanks to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic more than a year ago. 

Most homeowners don’t think about their heating system until something goes wrong. And when that happens, it can be a huge financial burden — one they may not be able to afford. Thankfully, organizations like Oil Heat Cares exist to help in those types of situations.

The grant supports instructors at HVAC colleges or technical high schools who want to continue their education or purchase needed tools or books for classroom instruction.

Since its inception in 2004, Oil Heat Cares — a not-for-profit foundation — has helped people and organizations in need with the replacement of their oil heating appliances.

Every year, OESP members donate their time and expertise to help others keep the heat on.

This winter may not have been as frigid as in previous years, but that doesn’t mean people weren’t cranking up the heat.

Adams is a service manager at Parker Fuel Co. in Ellicott City, Md., and has been active in OESP since May 2006.

The OESP membership unanimously voted to hire Jaffe Communications to serve as the next executive director.
