This is an exciting time in the water heater industry.

The last 10 years has seen an explosion of connected smart home devices controlling everything in the home from lighting to security to climate. 

Resideo announced the launch of the Resideo Home app, which will make whole-home monitoring possible for the four critical networks of the home – water, air, energy and security – during its Resideo Live event, held in Austin, Texas, this past December. 

Niccolo de Masi, who previously served as Resideo's Products & Solutions president, chief innovation officer and board member, will remain as chief innovation officer but will resign his role as board member.

Though smart home technologies have been around for quite some time, it is only over the past five years or so that the market has really taken off.
