This donation marks the 13th collaborative project for Xylem, WWT and Hometown H2O – a
domestic water initiative dedicated to bringing clean, sustainable water to people and
communities in need across the United States.
Rohit Nair will provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting training on the company’s full line of high-efficiency boilers and water heating equipment.
METUS plans to use the facility to generate 60 distribution center jobs and empower HVAC businesses with the training and support needed to sell, install and service all-climate heat pumps.
The Carrier and Viessmann boards of directors have each approved the acquisition, which is expected to close around the end of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
The new name also embraces the global megatrend toward electrification, with Bosch announcing last
month an investment of $737.6 million in electrification to further accelerate heat pump ramp-up,
specifically as high demand for climate-friendly solutions continues globally.
