Charlie Sarkis of A. Tech Mechanical in Welland, Ont., Canada, won Lochinvar’s March VIP Installation Showcase contest with an installation of two KNIGHT heating boilers in a 10,000-sq.-ft. home.

Lochinvar announced the March winners in its VIP Contractor Program: Charlie Sarkis of A. Tech Mechanical in Welland, Ont., Canada, won the VIP Installation Showcase; and Andrew Vander Zwaag of Macatawa Radiant in Zeeland, Mich., won the monthly drawing. Both winning contractors receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two with tickets to the world’s largest country music festival as part of Lochinvar’s Nashville Experience this June.

Sarkis’ entry (pictured) described an installation at a 10,000-sq.-ft. home in Saint Catharines, Ont. He and his team selected two KNIGHT heating boilers with inputs of 150,000 Btu/hr. for the job, which included five zones of radiant in-floor heating and two high-velocity air handlers. He described the installation as a “primary/secondary loop with a simple relay control to interlock the pumps for the different temperatures between 75° F for the basement, 80° to 95° for the home’s second and third floor, and 140° for when the air handlers are needed.”

As April is the last month of the VIP Installation Showcase, VIP contractors can submit their entries through the end of the month by uploading a photo and brief description of any qualified boiler or boiler/Squire combination installation for a chance to be named the last monthly winner of this heating season’s contest. Once an entry has been submitted, it is featured in a gallery where Facebook users can vote for their favorite installation. 

Those not engaged with social media can enter and vote on www.knightheatingboiler.com. The top three entries with the most votes each month are selected as finalists and a panel of Lochinvar judges chooses the monthly winner. New and repeat entries can be submitted each month for additional chances to win.
