Viega broke ground at a ceremony in McPherson, Kan., March 14 to officially begin construction of its new 439,000-square-foot production, logistics and office complex.

On-hand at the building site was Viega ownerWalter Viegener, Kansas Gov.Kathleen Sebelius, Viega CEODan Schmierer, and McPherson MayorBill Goering. The new plant is scheduled for completion in 2008, and will house extrusion, injection molding and logistics facilities.
