ECR International announced that President and CEO Ron Passafaro was re-elected as chairman of the Hydronics Institute through 2017. Passafaro has been a member of the Hydronics Institute — a product section of the Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute — his entire career and has served on its executive board since 2007. He has been an AHRI board member since 2011.

Passafaro’s re-election to the HI chairmanship is likely due to three significant issues that began during his first term: U.S. Department of Energy 2020 minimum efficiency regulations; DOE testing procedures and protocols; and the Environmental Protection Agency Energy Star efficiency tiers.

“I am committed to working with both our government representatives and member companies to meet and exceed the North American market’s expectations,” he said.
