LA-CO Names George Bowman President
LA-CO Industries/Markal Co.,
a manufacturer of specialty plumbing and HVAC chemicals,
announced George Bowman as the company’s new president.
LA-CO Industries/Markal Co., a manufacturer of specialty plumbing and HVAC chemicals for more than 75 years, announced George Bowman as the company’s new president. Bowman joined LA-CO after the retirement of recent president John Hardin.
In his new role, Bowman will help redefine LA-CO’s future business plans to ensure the company’s growth and success in 2012 and beyond. His responsibilities include collaborating with customers to develop product innovations, building relationships between LA-CO’s product engineers, customers and suppliers, and providing strong leadership to all company employees.
"George is a proven leader in business, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to LA-CO/Markal," noted Dan Kleiman, chief executive officer, LA-CO/Markal. “While John’s retirement is bittersweet for our team, George’s extensive experience coupled with his enthusiasm for the industry makes him the perfect fit for this role, and we believe that he’ll help steer the company into a future of continued growth and success.”
Bowman brings with him an extensive amount of leadership and business experience. Prior to joining LA-CO/Markal, Bowman most recently served as vice president of construction products for Miller Electric in Chicago. Bowman also worked as president of Enerpac at Actuant Corp. and at General Electric Industrial Systems for 11 years in various sales, engineering and business leadership roles.
