ServiceMaster Reports Second Quarter Results

ServiceMaster announced second quarter 2001 revenues of $1.65 billion were up 4 percent over the year ago period. Revenues were higher by 2 percent, compared with $1.61 billion in the second quarter of 2000.
American Residential Services (ARS) achieved double-digit revenue growth, resulting from strength in American Mechanical Services (AMS), its commercial business, as well as through acquisitions and price increases.
However, growth in the residential plumbing and HVAC service areas were below expectations in the quarter.
