Robert T. Armistead, P.E., took office as president of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America April 1 during the closing ceremony of MCAA’s annual convention in San Francisco.

Robert T. Armistead, P.E., took office as president of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America April 1 during the closing ceremony of MCAA’s annual convention in San Francisco. He succeeds outgoing PresidentLonnie Coleman.

Armistead is president of Armistead Mechanical, a fourth-generation mechanical contracting and engineering firm with offices in Waldwick, N.J., and Newburgh, N.Y. Also elected during the convention are the following officers:

  • President-Elect Mark Rogers, chief operating officer of West Chester Mechanical Contractors, an HVAC, service and plumbing contractor in  the Philadelphia area.

  • Vice President and Assistant Treasurer Michael R. Cables, chief operating officer for domestic U.S. operations at Kinetics, a full-service mechanical contractor providing process and mechanical system installations for customers in the electronics, biopharmaceutical, health-care, data centers and general industries. He is based in Wilsonville, Ore.

  • Senior Vice President and Treasurer William J. Lynch, president of William F. Lynch Co., an HVAC, service, plumbing and pipe welding contractor in the Worcester, Mass., area.

    The new officers make up the MCAA Executive Committee. Coleman will serve on the committee this year as well.
