Copper tube manufacturer Wolverine Tube (Canada) Inc. announced its recent purchase of all of the assets from the Kamco Division of Granby Industries Ltd Partnership.

“Kamco is a leader in coated copper tube products and represents an excellent expansion opportunity for Wolverine Canada into a niche, value-added segment, which is our strategy for future growth,” commented Jean Noelting, president of Wolverine Tube.

Wolverine plans to move the assets of Kamco into its facility to reduce costs and gain advantage of logistics efficiencies by shipping Kamco products along with Wolverines. Its customer base is often the same, Noelting added.

The transaction was completed at the end of October, but there is currently a transition period following closing, during which the equipment will be moved and order entry will be transferred to London.
