Faucet manufacturer Chicago Faucets announced that its management systems have achieved ISO 9001:2008/ISO 14001:2004 certification of its U.S. headquarters in Des Plaines, Ill., and three manufacturing sites. ISO 9001/ISO 14001 are widely recognized international standards, which provide a framework for effective quality and environmental management systems.

“This certification, a standard that is recognized and respected worldwide, not only reaffirms our ongoing commitment to quality, it also assures and communicates to our customers that they are working with an organization that prides itself in incorporating the very highest quality processes and practices in the industry," saidJohn Joyce, director of business excellence for Chicago Faucets. "Meeting the rigorous ISO requirements validates our unwavering commitment to deliver the highest quality service and satisfaction that our customers have come to expect.”

Complementing the company’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, Chicago Faucets has worked to develop and implement systems to reduce emissions affecting climate change, and to segregate different wastes to maximize recycling and minimize landfill. “Our employees are committed to continue achieving excellence in our management processes and meeting or exceeding environmental expectations,” commented Joyce.

ISO 9001 is a voluntary Quality Management System that covers design/development, production, installation and servicing. ISO 14001 is a voluntary Environmental Management System that requires constant commitment to environment planning and improvement.
