Underwriters Laboratories announced it will provide testing and certification services for the EPA’s WaterSense program. As an approved certifier, UL will work with manufacturers to obtain the WaterSense label for products that comply with EPA criteria, which require at least 20 percent greater efficiency in water utilization. The WaterSense program is initially available for high-efficiency toilets and irrigation products and will be expanded to include additional water product categories including high-efficiency faucets.
