Plumbing & Mechanical magazine and BNP Media is proud to announce that its editors and staff have been awarded 2007 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence. APEX awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and success of the entry - in the judges’ opinions - in communicating effectively.

Among the winning entries this year was the 2007 Radiant Flooring Guide, a joint venture by the Radiant Panel Association and BNP Media. It is the second consecutive APEX award for the publication.

This year’s edition was presented an award in the APEX Custom-Published Magazines & Journals category. RFG is spearheaded by PM Managing Editor Kelly Faloon, with art direction by Matt Britcher. The Radiant Flooring Guide is the only annual publication that provides detailed articles on how to match various floor covering and subflooring materials with radiant heating systems.

PM Editor Steve Smith won an APEX award in the Feature Writing category for his September 2006 article on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina (“Life After Katrina”). Senior Editor Katie Rotella also received an APEX in the Regular Departments & Columns category for PM’s June 2006 Plumbing Trends on lavatories (“Lav At First Sight”).
