The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers is offering $14,000 in scholarship funds in 2007 for the education of oil heat service personnel - seven scholarships of $2,000 each. These scholarships are available to everyone - from high school students to people already working in the industry - provided that they would like to further their education within the field of oil heating.

Scholarships will be awarded to the winning entrants who write and submit a 500-word essay answering the question, “What are your goals and why do you wish to better yourself within the oil heating industry?” The essay, along with a scholarship application (available at www.naohsm.org), should be submitted to the association’s national office no later than March 30, 2007. All essays will be reviewed by a panel of independent judges.

The scholarships have been made possible with support of Delavan Inc. and the Dave Nelsen Scholarship Fund. Winners will be announced in the spring and will be invited to attend the NAOHSM Awards Banquet during the association’s 54th Annual Convention and Trade Show, May 20-24, 2007 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, Pa.
