PHCC's Casey Elected To Small Business Legislative Council
April 1, 2006
PHCC-National Association Executive Director Ike Casey was elected to a three-year term on the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC) board of directors. The SBLC is an independent coalition of more than 60 trade and professional organizations, which lobbies on small-business issues that affect contractors and others in the industry.
The council's five priorities for 2006 are: 1) working for meaningful immigration reform; 2) pursuing comprehensive health care system reform; 3) securing permanent estate tax relief; 4) securing product and services liability litigation reforms; and 5) promoting and protecting innovation for continuing long-term efforts to improve the national transportation infrastructure.
