Goedele “Kate” Desender Maselis, senior vice president and general manager of Hansgrohe Inc.-North America, died Oct. 23 following a relatively short but serious illness. She was 44.

Maselis, a native of Belgium, joined Hansgrohe in 2002, serving as the subsidiary's vice president of sales and marketing. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Maselis; two young children, Julie and Philip; and mother Regina Desender.
