The Mechanical Contractors and Unions Seal of Excellence (CAUSE) named Carey M. Dove, owner and president of Gaithersburg, Md.-based M&M Welding and Fabricators, its first woman chair for the 2003-2004 term. She began as a mechanical helper at M&M in 1976, and became company president in 1990.

CAUSE, comprised of both management and labor organizations in the Washington mechanical contracting industry, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
