The council provides practical and independent advice to the agency on matters and policies related to drinking water quality and hygiene. It is comprised of five members from the general public, five by appointment from state and local agencies, and five from private organizations or groups (two of which are from small rural public water systems).
WQA Consultant Appointed To EPA Advisory Council
The Environmental Protection Agency appointed Regu P. Regunathan, a consultant to the Water Quality Association, to serve as a member of the agency's National Drinking Water Advisory Council as a special government employee for the May 17, 2004-Dec. 15, 2006 term.
