The unions of the AFL-CIO's Building and Construction Trades Department voted unanimously to elect Edward Sullivan as their new president.

The 15 construction unions of the AFL-CIO's Building and Construction Trades Department voted unanimously to elect Edward Sullivan as their new president after a 29-year reign by former president Robert Georgine. Sullivan is a former general president of the International Union of Elevator Constructors and former vice president of the Massachusetts State Building Trades Council. He will serve a five-year term.
