Residential Remodeling Up In 4th Quarter 2000

Remodeling expenditures by homeowners increased to $101.9 billion for the fourth quarter of 2000, according to the Remodeling Activity Indicator (RAI) developed by Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies. This level of activity produced 2.7 percent growth in homeowner spending for remodeling in 2000.
