Robert "Bob" Malia, 73, died Sept. 19 in Florida. He was CEO of Thermo Air Inc., Hollywood, Fla., and spent more than 40 years in the mechanical construction and service industry.

Malia served as chairman of the Mechanical Service Contractors Association for the 2002/2003 term, was a former member of MCAA's board of directors for six years, and also presided as president of the MCA of South Florida.
