Poole & Kent Co. Work For Washington Convention Center

The Poole & Kent Co., in joint venture with Montgomery Mechanical Services, has been awarded a $48 million contract for the complete mechanical installation at the new Washington Convention Center now under construction in Washington, D.C.
Located on a 15-acre site, the center will comprise 2.1 million sq. ft., including 700,000 sq. ft. of exhibition halls, 500,000 sq. ft. of meeting rooms and ballrooms, and an additional 400,000 sq. ft. of mixed used space.
The new site contains more than 1,200 plumbing fixtures, heating, a/c, temperature controls for air handling units, and in excess of 65 miles of mechanical piping.
