Roto-Rooter revenues in 2001 of $269.4 million were 4 percent below prior year, causing a 2.9 percentage point decline in the gross margin, while net income declined to $3.4 million in 2001 vs. $20 million in 2000. Income for 2001 amounted to $13.8 million as compared with $20 million in 2000.
