May 14, 2003, marked the grand opening of Viessmann's new U.S. head office and distribution center in Warwick, R.I. About 500 people attended the dedication ceremony, which included remarks from third-generation owner and CEO Dr. Martin Viessmann, Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian and Richard Trethewey, plumbing and heating expert from "This Old House."

The new 38,000-sq. ft. facility was built on 6 acres and will serve to extend the company's distribution network. In addition, it will offer new display and educational facilities for heating technology firms in the area.
