Charles N. Prudames, vice president of sales for Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co., died Palm Sunday, April 4, in Montgomery, Ala., after a long bout with cancer. He was 64.
Prudames began as regional manager for Jay R. Smith in 1984. He was promoted in 1989 to national sales manager, and then to his current position a few years later.
He is survived by wife Wallene; children Tracey Prudames Horne and husband Blake; Charles N. Prudames, Jr. and wife Ashley; and a granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
