EMCOR Group, Inc., Norwalk, CT, has acquired Labov Mechanical Contractors, an Atlantic City, NJ,-based mechanical contracting firm. Frank T. MacInnis, chairman, president and chief executive officer of EMCOR states that the addition of Labov will help expand EMCOR’s mechanical contracting business to the Atlantic City casino marketplace.
Founded in 1921, Labov has worked on many of Atlantic City’s high profile projects such as Caesar’s, Harrahs, Tropicana, Resorts, Showboat and Hilton. Labov will continue to operate under the direction of Stephen Labov, who is serving as president of the EMCOR subsidiary. A grandson of the firm’s founder, Mr. Labov has 30 years of experience in the industry. Under his leadership, the firm’s sales grew from $2 million to $25 million annually.
