The National Fire Protection Association has announces a provisional approval of the NFPA Building CodeTM project.
The National Fire Protection Association has announced a provisional approval of the NFPA Building CodeTM project.
Expected to be issued in 2002, the code will be part of NFPA's full set of standards for the built environment, rounding out its Consensus CodesTM set.
All interested parties of NFPA's Standards Council should submit applications for committee memberships. Future
technical committees include Building Code Technical Correlating Committee; Occupancy Rules; Structure and
Construction; Materials; Building Systems; and Fire and Life Safety. (Current NFPA Safety to Life committee members
need not re-apply, unless they would like to participate in other areas.)
