The Mechanical Contractors Association of America Inc. will hold its annual convention in San Francisco from February 21 to 26, 1998.

Continuing its tradition of providing a first-class learning experience for participants, MCAA will once again focus on educational sessions in management, business practice and personal development.

The 1998 convention offers 25 speakers presenting 44 workshops and panel discussions. And — for the first time this year — 16 members of MCAA’s Manufacturer/Supplier Council will be presenting sessions on new technological developments from their respective companies.

In addition to the convention’s educational component, two well-known speakers will bring carefully crafted presentations and thoughtful messages to two major sessions.

Jack Kemp — former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, 1996 Republican vice presidential candidate and current co-director of Empower America — will speak at the convention’s opening session about the challenges facing the country today.

Jim Tunney, “Dean of the NFL Referees,” will speak at the closing session. Drawing on 28 years of experience in education and sports, Tunney emphasizes ways to develop and monitor accountability and build teams that work.

The convention will take place at the San Francisco Marriott, a centrally located city hotel. For registration information, contact Shawn Ganim at 800/556-3653.
