John Nussbaum, executive director of the PHCC of Southeastern Michigan was awarded the 1996 Spectrum Award for leadership and achievement. The award is presented by the Association Executives Council of the NAPHCC. Nussbaum used to be a plumbing contractor until taking the top job at the PHCCASM in 1986.

The NAPHCC presented Dan Burnette, Interstate Mechanical Contractors, with its 1996 Legislative Service Award.
