In May 2019, reedy announced its acquisition of Bihun Commercial Services. It has since acquired three more.

Reedy Industries acquires Roger Schweitzer and Sons

Reedy Industries purchased the assets of Roger Schweitzer and Sons of Cincinnati, OH, to expand their boiler service offerings. Roger Schweitzer and Sons will become a part of Monroe Mechanical, Reedy Industries’ mechanical services presence in southwestern Ohio and northern Kentucky.

Roger Schweitzer and Sons was started by Roger Schweitzer in 1976. The company’s specialty has been the installation, maintenance and replacement of commercial and industrial boiler systems. Roger Schweitzer and Sons has gained recognition in the Cincinnati area and northern Kentucky region as a high-quality, reliable partner to a variety of area facilities.

“Roger Schweitzer and Sons is the eight acquisition in the past three years and our second acquisition in 2019,” said Martha Leonard, CFO of Reedy Industries. “They are an exciting addition to the Reedy Industries family and will strengthen the service offering we bring to our customers in Ohio and Kentucky.”

“Roger Schweitzer and Sons’ strong boiler business and deep customer relationships will accelerate our growth in Ohio and northern Kentucky,” said Jack Deichl, president of Reedy Industries. “We’re excited to be expanding the expertise at Monroe Mechanical and glad to be adding another company to our business.”

Reedy Industries acquires Springfield's AIRmasters

Reedy Industries purchased the assets of AIRmasters Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & Sheet Metal of Springfield, IL. With this acquisition, Reedy Industries expands their HVAC service offerings into central Illinois.

AIRmasters was started by Robert “Robbie” Mathews in 1993. The business has grown a superb reputation in central Illinois as a trusted and respected mechanical service contractor, Reedy said. AIRmasters is capable of working on all kinds of cooling, heating, refrigeration and ventilation equipment; and they also have a sheet metal fabrication shop to better serve their customers’ needs, the company noted.

“I didn’t have a succession plan until now,” Mathews said, “so I love what this means for my business. A lot of families are fed from my company, but what if something happened to me? I want them to be taken care of.”

“Robbie and his team are a great fit for our company,” said Bill Reedy, chairman of the board for Reedy Industries. “AIRmasters has built a name for themselves in central Illinois, and we’re happy to be expanding into that region.”

AIRmasters is the third acquisition for Reedy Industries in 2019. Over the last three years, Reedy Industries has acquired ten mechanical services companies.

“We’re excited to bring AIRmasters into the Reedy Industries family,” Deichl said. “I’m excited that we now have a footprint to build off of in the central Illinois region. AIRmasters is going to be a great partner.”

With the acquisition complete, Mathews will stay on with AIRmasters. “I just want to stick around and focus on what I love to do,” Mathews said. “It’s great to know that my business will continue on beyond me.”

Reedy Industries acquires Milwaukee's Just Service

Reedy Industries purchased the assets of Just Service of Greendale, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. Just Service will extend Reedy Industries’ presence in Wisconsin, alongside AccuTemp Mechanical, another Reedy Industries company based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Just Service was started by John Just in 2007. The business is known for servicing the Milwaukee market with commercial and industrial mechanical and energy services. Just Service provides mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, energy management and engineering services for remodeling, new construction and design-build customers.

“We’ve been talking to John about the possibility of acquisition for some time,”  Reedy said. “We take great care in making sure the timing and culture fit are right for any new strategic partnership.”

“It was definitely a courtship,” said John Just, who will stay on to manage the business. “I was looking for the right partner — someone with the capital to help my business grow in the future. I’ve had a dialogue going with Reedy Industries for a while, and I feel like they’re the right people and this is the right time for us to move forward together.”

Just Service is the fourth acquisition for Reedy Industries in 2019 and comes on the heels of Reedy Industries’ acquisition of AIRmasters Heating & Cooling in Springfield, Illinois. Over the last three years, Reedy Industries has acquired 11 mechanical services companies.

“I love adding Just to our business,” Deichl said. “We already have a great company serving southeastern Wisconsin in AccuTemp. They’ve experienced significant growth over the last several years, and I’m excited to expand our already strong presence in the Milwaukeeland area through this partnership with Just Service.”

Reedy Industries serves critical environments in the commercial and industrial market spaces by focusing on HVAC and mechanical services and solutions. Reedy Industries is actively expanding the services it provides within the building envelope and is doing so through both organic and acquisition-related means. Reedy Industries is a 90-year-old company and is headquartered in Glenview, Illinois, just outside Chicago.
