Fresh-Aire UV named Southwestern HVAC Sales in Smithville, Texas, its 2016 Rep of the Year at the 2017 AHR Expo, held Jan. 31 in Las Vegas.

The five-year-old manufacturer’s representative grew its Fresh-Aire UV sales by 42% in 2016 by developing a four-point sales contractor training program comprised of monthly two-hour sessions. The program, which was provided to more than 50 contractors, consisted of a product introduction, technical training/sales, product sales/marketing training, and salesmanship coaching. It was the rep firm's second Rep of the Year award from Fresh-Aire UV after also winning in 2012.

Southwestern HVAC Sales, which covers Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, also converted dozens of contractors to Fresh-Aire UV products, including the former AHR Innovation Award winner APCO, by demonstrating the deficiencies of older, outdated technology.

"They spot competition deficiencies and educate those contractors as to the superiority of Fresh-Aire UV technology," said Sean Moseley, national sales manager, Fresh-Aire UV.  "Plus, they always present our technology in a factual, truthful and knowledgeable manner."
