Siegenthaler talks hydronic heating at biomass conference, seminar

BNP Plumbing Group Hydronics Editor and PM columnist John Siegenthaler will present “Hydronics for High Efficiency Wood-fired and Pellet-fired Boilers” April 10 at the 6th Annual Northeast Biomass Heating Expo in Portland, Maine. The day-long hydronic technology workshop will feature topics key to the optimal installation of biomass (e.g. wood chip, pellet, and log) boilers for space and water heating in residential and commercial settings.

Siegenthaler also will present a seminar April 2 at the Mohawk Valley Community College’s Utica Campus on using renewable energy sources such as solar thermal collectors, heat pumps and solid fuel (wood and pellet) boilers with hydronic heating systems. This full-day seminar will show students how to use each of these renewable heat sources as the primary energy source for space-heating and domestic hot water production.
