On April 17, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon announced a new summer
internship program. The “Next-Generation
Jobs Team” will help match 3,000 Missouri
youth, ages 16 to 24, with summer internships to prepare them for high-tech
jobs. Watts Radiant is one of the employers already signed up to participate.
Wages
for the young workers will be funded by the U.S. Department of Labor with $25
million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act.
